...Myself. 

I'm Daniel. A late thirties, veteran, progressive in a red state guy in a DINK (Double Income No Kids) marriage to my great equalizer. I have a pretty sweet job of meeting people and helping them with their bar & restaurant needs. I have two dogs. I have two cats. My house feels like home. 

I enjoy talking about things I don't have any formal education in. (See ref: "Talkin' Bout" by Thumpasaurus) Politics, religion, science, philosophy, relationships, sexuality, and everything else that polite people stay away from are what draws me in. I want to challenge and feel challenged. I want to explore the intricacies of how we connect to  build a better connection. I want to understand where you're coming from to enjoy the journey of where we are going. 

I created a website and a blog because I wanted  a space for me to express ideas without the distractions other social medias have designed into their platforms. I wanted to express myself, with intention, and want the reader (realistically, just one, Hi Mom) to be able to consume in the same way. 

I want to write more, with the passion I used to spill all over the place, and know that I won't if I don't give myself a designated place to do so. I want to explore topics in careful AND messy ways. I want to explore how I think, contradict my previous thoughts, and grow. 

So, this is me. Or, the me that exists in this moment. Who knows who I'll be the next time you see me. All I can hope for is that you give me the space to be me as I'll give you the opportunity to explore what it means to be you.
